We are looking for a Tool & Die Maker to join our client's team in Racine, WI. This is a direct-hire opportunity!
As the Tool & Die Maker, you will be responsible for making, repairing, or modifying custom-made products, prototypes, or special tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges to very specific dimensions.
Responsibilities:

• Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, or dial indicators
• Study blueprints, sketches, models, or specifications to plan sequences of operations for fabricating tools, dies, or assemblies
• Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders (Blanchard – Surface)
• Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools
• Design jigs, fixtures, and templates for use as work aids in the fabrication of parts or products

• Minimum of 5 years of previous experience as a Tool & Die Maker or Toolroom attendant.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Excellent math skills and the ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Ability to work 10-hour shifts in a physically active environment, including walking, standing, lifting, twisting, turning, crouching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required, along with Tool & Die Maker schooling, Die Building/Maintenance, Tool & Die Maker/machinist certification, or state-indentured journeyman’s card.
